Art Walk Festival--Akron Art Experience

Raw Umber member Steve Csejtey is active in the Akron Art Experience Program affiliated with the City of Akron. During the art walk he helped with many others to guide Akron Art Walk participants in the painting of 10 huge canvases and many other activities. More to come...

It's time for Ingenuity!!

Ingenuity has begun. This year Raw Umber has work at Asterisk Gallery
in Addition to the All Go Signs Gallery. The location of Asterisk is across
from the Palace Theatre and next to Bricco. Asterisk, is a Gallery based in
Tremont which is owned by Dana Depew. The space is totally taken
advantage of by multiple installations in the large and small rooms by multiple
artists. Dana himself took advantage of the space to make his refurbished
object compilations and paintings come to life. All the artits went to a great
deal of work transforming their spaces.
Raw Umber has a room with space in the hallway where artists Jody Hawk,
Bernadette Glorioso, Keith Smith, Steve Csejtey, Ron White and Joe Day
have a mini art gallery.

All Go Signs Alley is different this year. The concentration is on one stage and a bigger gallery.
Raw Umber occupies 70% of the gallery. New to Raw Umber is Ron White. Ron resides at
Red Light Galleries with us. He renders large charcoal drawings of a metaphysical nature.
He also is displaying some ceramic pieces.
Raw Umber has a group project. We have revived an outdated cigarette machine and
Ingenuity people are invited to purchase art contained in small boxes, the size of a cigarette box.
Each of us has designed art to go into the boxes.

The box was designed by Steve Csejtey.
